Post your device to us from Doncaster — it's simple

Sending a hard drive or SSD from a computer, laptop, MacBook, iMac, CCTV/DVR or server? We would like you to take the hard drive or SSD out of your device and simply send it to us. We do not provide an internal removal service. In cases where you have a RAID system or server, please send all the disks to us clearly labelled by bay. Unfortunately, we cannot recover data if the storage is soldered to the motherboard (for example, Apple Silicon Macs and some thin laptops). Therefore, we require removable drives sent to us. If you are unsure what type of drive you have, ring us first.

  • Wrap the device in bubble wrap or put it in a padded envelope. Post a single external drive to us whole, in its housing, along with its cable and power supply. With regards to all other types of hardware, you don't need to send any cables.
  • Print and fill out the booking-in & shipping form (PDF), write down your name and telephone number, explain briefly what went wrong and put this into the parcel.
  • You can use Royal Mail Special Delivery or your own tracked courier, either of which gives full insurance cover during transit.
  • Want to hand it over in person? When you receive your quote, you are welcome to drop off your device at the reception of the Leeds lab at the address shown, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5:30pm. No appointment is required.
